PAWS - Police Weapons and Ammunition System caters for the weapons and ammunition used by the Firearms Department. PAWS 4 is a major enhancement of this tried and tested software, launched in April 2004.

22 UK Police Forces have purchased PAWS

In response to particular requests for facilities for rapid booking out from the armoury of large numbers of weapons we have now incorporated barcode reading, and electronic signing by the AFO. A fuller description of PAWS 4 is here.

TROP - Training Records of Police holds the training records for all AFOs, etc. Version 3.4 has been released in September 2004. The new version 4 is designed to manage the revised record keeping requirements following the change of training syllabus from the ACPO Manual of Guidance basis to the National Police Firearms Training Curriculum (NPFTC). A fuller description of this software revision can be found here.

TAS - Temporary Armoury System is a new version, based on PAWS, but cut down to provide for temporary armouries that may be set up for special events, and where weapons from various forces (not just the ‘home’ force) may be lodged during the event. Again, rapid issue and return facilities are an important feature of TAS.

You can download an audiovisual demonstration of our main applications from the AV Demos page.
